A Few Quick Things….
Item #1: eLearning Portal being taken offline temporarily
If you read this blog and you are a student, you will be getting an e-mail from me that the classroom is going offline for a day or two. We are purging the records and starting new with an updated installation of the course interface in preparation for September 21. (oops! Shouldn’t have said that!)
So if you go to our eLearning portal and it’s not working, sit tight! It’ll be back online soon!
Item #2: Welcome to our Guest Author, Richard Stiennon of ThreatChaos!
Richard, an Industry Analyst of IT-Harvest, has agreed to allow us to syndicate some of his content as a guest author.
There are some things he says that I think many or our readers will benefit from. And I will siphon out those topics that might be over the head of our average readers.
That’s not meant as an insult! It just means that I understand now who (or is it whom?) reads our blog and follows our site. And I’ve come to understand that if you get overwhelmed with too much information that you might not yet understand, you give up. I don’t want that to happen.
We are here to provide a safe, and non-judgmental learning environment. That’s all I meant by that! So no hate mail please!
Aside from his Threat Chaos blog, and IT-Harvest, Richard is also a regular contributor to a column on Network World called Stiennon on Security! So you can see why I am so excited and honored that Richard would allow me to share his content with you!
And if you missed his appearance on our BlogTalk Radio show, you can always listen to the archive on our show page!
So it is with gratitude and excitement that we welcome Richard Stiennon to our Blog!
Item #3: The website look and feel is changing!
The first thing you will notice is that the tutorials will move to the classroom. You will not need to register as a guest to view them or any of our free course content once the classroom is back up.
I want to keep all information related to learning in one place and that will now be in the eLearning portal. Easy to find!
One click will get you from the main page to the page designed specifically for the area of interest noted in the menu.
For example, if you click on the courses link, you will be taken to a course page that will list all our courses from free, through e-mail, and paid course content. From that page, one more click will get you where you need to go. You will never be more than three clicks away from what you are looking for.
That’s just the beginning! If you haven’t done so yet, sign up for our Free newsletter, the Technical Tidbits™ Newsletter and keep up-to-date on how we can help you!
That being said, have a wonderful day!
