PC Security 102
This is the second module in the introduction to PC Security elearning course.
Although it is a continuation of the first course (PC Security 101), this learning module can
stand on its own. If you've taken the first course, this section takes the fundamentals to a whole new
level!
In it, you will learn:
- Why your browser may be giving you the old, "Page cannot be displayed" error
message.
- Fundamentals networking
- Software and hardware firewalls
- Packets
- Routers
- Wireless network security
- Network security
- Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
- Skype security
- VoIP security
- Cellular security
- Remote Access
This is an 8 week or 8 module, self-directed course.
What does self-directed mean? It means that you decide how fast or how slow
you wish to learn the material. There are 8 lessons and you can do one a week,
one a day, or one a month. It's your choice. Self-paced for today's busy world!
Because the course runs continiously, there is always a section starting and
stopping, so you will always have access to your classroom and your instructor.
And self-directed does not mean you're on your own either! There is a class chat
area where you can chat with other participants who are online the same time you
are. Or, you can take advantage of the course discussion forum where you interact
through posts. And you even have access to your instructor via e-mail and scheduled
chat times.
If you're ready to take a proactive role in your online security, then sign up today!
